  • Published: 7 months ago
We are proud to share The Deli Women and Children’s Centre’s 2024–25 Annual Report, a reflection of a year marked by growth, connection and deep commitment to the safety and wellbeing of women, children and families in our community.

This year’s report highlights the strength of our trauma-informed practice, the dedication of our team, and the extraordinary support we receive from our partners and community. From therapeutic counselling and parenting programs, to outreach, advocacy and crisis support, our work continues to be guided by compassion, collaboration and the belief that every woman and child deserves safety, dignity and hope.

A Year of Impact and Partnership

Inside the report, you’ll find stories of resilience and healing, updates on key programs, and reflections on the issues that continue to shape the experiences of women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

Some of this year’s highlights include:

  • Embedding the Safe & Together™ model through Project CHRISTIE
  • Launching Breathwork and Sound Meditation workshops with strong outcomes for clients
  • Co-creating a Community of Practice for DFV counsellors with NSW Health, St Vincent’s and Bondi Beach Cottage
  • Hosting the Allies Against Violence event with ESDVN

Strong community partnerships with organisations including Community Bank Clovelly, Diva Charity, Lions Club Maroubra, Project Kindness, Two Good Co, Share the Dignity, Metro Assist and many more

A Message from Our General Manager

This year also marks the final Annual Report from our General Manager, Leila Botham, who is stepping down after three years of leadership. Leila reflects on the power of collective care, the resilience of clients, and the deep dedication of The Deli team, volunteers and partners who make this work possible every day.

Thank You to Our Community

Our achievements are only possible because of the incredible generosity and commitment of our supporters — from local organisations and donors to volunteers, partners and community members who stand with women and children as they rebuild their lives.

We invite you to read the full report and join us in celebrating the progress, partnerships and possibilities that lie ahead.
